Bitcoin mining, unchained.

New to Nostr?

Nostr is an open-source, decentralized protocol for social media. You own your identity with a keypair, your notes live across independent relays, and no company can censor or deplatform you.

Follow Bitcoinist on Nostr. Pick a free app to get started:

No hardware to order. No account maze. No manual.

Download the app, pick a miner, tap, and real hashrate starts working in your name, about thirty seconds, start to finish. The hardest part is deciding on a pool name.

You've read this far. Might as well. Download the Bitcoinist App. 🟠
Here's what you're actually renting: a machine that makes one trillion attempts at the next block, every single second.

That's what 1 TH/s means. Not points, not a progress bar, a real machine throwing real computation at the network, around the clock, for you.

Put a trillion guesses a second to work. Download the Bitcoinist App. 🟠
Rent 3 miners in one pool on a subscription, and 3 bonus miners join your other pool automatically. Add them to the public pool, and you get 3 in your private pool, or the other way around.

One setup, mining both sides at once. Download the Bitcoinist App. 🟠
Cloud mining usually means buying a contract and hoping: no proof machines exist, payouts held on their platform, numbers you can't check.

We don't do any of that. In Bitcoinist you rent specific, real hashrate, and what you mine pays out on-chain to a wallet only you control. If you want proof, you can verify it yourself, that's the point.

Real mining, not promises. Download the Bitcoinist App. 🟠
Right now, in a data center, rows of machines are mining Bitcoin. One could be working for you by the end of this scroll.

No buying, shipping, or plugging in. Tap once in Bitcoinist and a real miner runs in your name, straight to your wallet.

Make one yours. Download the Bitcoinist App. 🟠
Waiting for a block has that "any moment now" rush.

But a block is found because of the machines' work, not luck. The thrill is real because it's earned.

Take your shot with real hashrate. Download the Bitcoinist App. 🟠
Over the past year, small independent miners have landed 24 whole blocks, up 41% on the year before.

The network treats every miner by the same rules, and more small players keep landing blocks. Be one of them. Download the Bitcoinist App. 🟠
That's the part that's out of everyone's hands. What's in yours is how much of it you go and get. Your share isn't decided by anyone but you.

The supply is set. Your move isn't. Download the Bitcoinist App. 🟠
Mining sounds like a project. In Bitcoinist, it's a tap.

Open the app, start a miner, and that's it, real hashrate in a professional data center goes to work. You do one thing, the machines do the rest.

One tap, then it runs. Download the Bitcoinist App. 🟠
Buying your own mining rig sounds cool until the reality shows up: a big upfront bill, a hot noisy box in your home, a climbing power bill, and hardware that's outdated in a year or so.

Renting skips all of it. With Bitcoinist you rent real hashrate running in a professional data center, start in minutes, maintain nothing, and scale up or stop whenever you want. Same real Bitcoin mining, none of the baggage.

Rent smart. Download the Bitcoinist App. 🟠
In Bitcoinist you can mine on your own or as part of a pool, and pools have their own appeal.

When you mine in a pool, everyone's hashrate combines into one effort. That means more attempts at each block, rewards that arrive in smaller and more regular pieces instead of long waits, and a payout that's shared across everyone when the pool lands a block. It's mining as a team sport.

Join a public pool or start a private one with people you know. Download the Bitcoinist App. 🟠
With Bitcoinist you mine real Bitcoin without owning, wiring, or even hearing a machine. The hardware runs in a professional data center; your phone just points it and shows you what's happening. Same real mining, none of the mess.

Mining, minus the machines. Download the Bitcoinist App. 🟠
Every coin that exists today, all the way back to the first in 2009, arrived because a miner somewhere found a block. It's still happening right now, roughly every ten minutes, and it will keep happening for the next century.

That's the door. You can walk through it. Download the Bitcoinist App. 🟠
Most people still don't own any Bitcoin, most have never touched mining, and most still aren't sure how it works.

That gap is the opportunity. Being early isn't about a date on a calendar, it's about understanding something before it's obvious to everyone else, and acting while there's still room to.

Start mining while it still feels early. Download the Bitcoinist App. 🟠
Here's something quietly amazing about Bitcoin: every single sat can be traced back to the exact block it was mined in, down to the date and minute it came into existence.

Nothing appears from nowhere. No hidden printing, no quiet exceptions. The entire supply has receipts, all the way back to the first block in 2009, and anyone can check them.

Mine sats with a story. Download the Bitcoinist App. 🟠
ColdCard has warned that a flaw in some of its devices could let attackers guess certain wallets, because the secret those wallets were built from wasn't random enough.

It's recommended to move your funds to a fresh seed as soon as possible, ideally on a device from a different vendor. Seeds created with sufficient dice rolls and protected by a strong passphrase are not currently considered at risk.

For larger amounts, consider multisig across vendors, so no single company's mistake can drain you.

The lesson is the old one: don't trust, verify. Learn more about how keys and self-custody really work in the Bitcoin Academy. Download Bitcoinist. 🟠
Every badge in Bitcoinist marks something you actually did. One stands above the rest: Bitcoin OG.

You don't get it for showing up once. You get it for mining every single day, for a full year. Three hundred sixty-five days of proof-of-work with your name on it.

The clock only starts when you do. Download Bitcoinist. 🟠
Bitcoinist runs on one loop: everything you do feeds your mining.

Watch a video or finish an Academy lesson, and you're closer to your next miner.

Nothing you do in the app is wasted. Download Bitcoinist. 🟠 (edited)
A Bitcoin wallet doesn't actually hold any Bitcoin. It holds keys.

Your coins live on the blockchain; the keys control them, like a house key doesn't contain your house but decides who gets in. So the real question is: who holds your keys? If it's a company, you're trusting them. If it's you, the Bitcoin answers to you alone.

Not your keys, not your coins. In Bitcoinist, what you mine pays out to a wallet where the keys are yours. Download Bitcoinist. 🟠
Mining just got easier, and that's not a slogan, it's how Bitcoin works.

Difficulty is the network's built-in dial for how hard blocks are to find. When machines go offline, it turns down so blocks keep arriving every ten minutes, and it just posted one of the largest downward resets in Bitcoin's history, about 20% below its peak.

The dial turned. The door's open. Start mining with Bitcoinist. 🟠
Quick system check before you keep scrolling:

Mining knowledge required: none. You'll learn as you go, and the app's Academy walks you through everything.

Hardware needed: none. Real machines in a professional data center do the work, your phone just runs the show.

Excuses remaining: zero. Download Bitcoinist and start mining. 🟠
Every day you spend "getting around to Bitcoin someday," 144 blocks happen without you.

That's the network's pace: one block roughly every ten minutes, day and night, holidays included. It doesn't wait for anyone's perfect moment, and it doesn't need to.

The next one lands in minutes. Be in it. Download Bitcoinist. 🟠
Consistency has a badge.

In Bitcoinist, mining doesn't end on someone else's balance sheet. Every sat you mine is paid out to a wallet you control.

That's the whole point of Bitcoin: your keys, your coins. We just help you mine them.

Here's some Bitcoin math: take all 21 million Bitcoin that will ever exist and split them evenly across 8 billion people. Each person gets about 262,500 sats, roughly 0.0026 BTC. That's it. Forever.

Most people will never own their share. Miners don't wait to buy theirs, they stack sats straight from the source, block by block.

Ever sent Bitcoin and stared at that "pending" screen? Here's what's actually happening.

Your transaction is standing in line. It sits in a waiting area with thousands of others until a miner picks it up and seals it into the next block. Space in each block is limited, so the fee you attach is like a boarding pass: pay more, board sooner. Pay less, wait a little longer.

Then, roughly every ten minutes, a block lands and a batch of "pending" becomes "done", permanently. That steady beat is what makes Bitcoin tick.

Want the full picture? The Bitcoin Academy inside the app walks you through it. Download Bitcoinist. 🟠
Did you know? The very first Bitcoin block, mined in January 2009, has a newspaper headline permanently written inside it: "Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks."

It's still there today, on every copy of the blockchain, checkable by anyone. A timestamp, and a reminder of the world Bitcoin was built as an answer to: money that no one can quietly print more of.

That chain is still growing, block by block, and you can be part of it. Start mining with Bitcoinist. 🟠

Today, mining is a live card on your phone: your miner running in a professional data center, your hashrate ticking. You check it the way you check the weather.

This is what mining looks like now. Download Bitcoinist. 🟠
Why does anything hold value? Usually because it can't be faked and it isn't easy to make. Gold has to be dug up. Great art takes a lifetime of skill. And Bitcoin has to be mined, real machines doing real work for every single coin.

That's not a flaw, it's the entire point. Value you can't counterfeit, backed by work you can verify.

Be part of the work. Start mining with Bitcoinist. 🟠
When you mine in Bitcoinist, you choose how your mining power is used.

Join the public pool and you're mining alongside thousands of others. Every time the pool finds a block, the reward is shared out, so sats arrive steadily, bit by bit.

Or start a private pool with people you know. Your group hunts for a block of its own, and when you land one, the entire reward, 3.125 BTC, is split between you.

Steady, or all in together. Your call. Download Bitcoinist. 🟠
Somewhere out there, right about now, a mining pool is finding a block. It happens roughly every ten minutes, 3.125 BTC each time.

With Bitcoinist you can put your own pool in the running. Start one, bring your crew, combine your hashrate, and take your shot at the next one.

Yours could be next. Download Bitcoinist. 🟠
Bitcoinist turns mining into something you'll actually enjoy. Climb the leaderboard, unlock badges, keep your streak alive, and all the while, real machines are mining real Bitcoin for you. Fun on the surface, serious underneath. Download Bitcoinist. 🟠

Mining doesn't have to be something you do alone.

In Bitcoinist you can start a private pool and invite people you know. Everyone's hashrate combines into one effort, and if your pool finds a block, the reward is shared across the group. It turns something technical into something you do together.

Gold held its value for thousands of years because it's hard to dig up, no one can create it out of thin air, and that scarcity kept it stable over time.

Bitcoin takes what made gold work and goes further. It's hard to produce, but the supply is capped at 21 million, and instead of heavy bars you can't move, you hold and send it anywhere in minutes with just your keys. That's sound money for the digital era.

Here's the scale of Bitcoin mining most people never picture. Right now, machines across the network are making hundreds of quintillions of guesses every second, all racing to find the next block. Just one lands it, roughly every ten minutes.

More mining power means more attempts at the next block. That's why people team up in shared pools, and the more friends you bring in, the more hashrate your group has working together. Bitcoinist lets you run your own setup or build a pool with people you know. See how it works. Download Bitcoinist. 🟠
For years, a handful of big pools decided which transactions went into each block. A new standard called Stratum V2 changes that, letting individual miners choose for themselves. Adoption is still early, but it's growing fast across the network. A quiet but real step toward a more decentralized Bitcoin. Be part of it. Start mining with Bitcoinist. 🟠
